Personality Profile:

Very agressive, Delkar always go after what he wants and does ont stop until he realizes he  cannot achieve his goal or until he does get what he wants. When Delkar does fail though... he does nto take it evry well, sometimes his temper can get out of hand which causes some conflict. Nonetheless, despite Delkar's cardassian backround, he is very loyal to the federation. He is seen as a great patriot and one willing to do anything to help the cause.
 

Family:

ather is now an admiral in the Cardassian union who is a former captain of a warship which was decommissioned after the domminion war. His mother does not work but is still living with his father. Neither parents approve of Delkar's leaving the union and refuse to speak to him.  Delkar also has a brother and sister who serve in the cardassian union, however they do not feel as harshly about delkar's feeling.
 
 

Biography:

Much has already been said about the life of Delkar. Ever since he has been a young child, he has felt that the Cardassian Union was up to no good, and that there demise which culminated with the domminion war was well deserved.  Delkar however always felt that the goals of the federation, to achieve peace and diplomacy were the ones all people should strive for. This is very different form the view of most cardassians, but for some reason Delkar is just different. Due to his distinct differences, Delkar had trouble through his schooling on Cardassia, and after an incident with two Cardassian Cadets, which left Delkar with a broken leg, he decided that he had enough, and he fled without anyone's concent, on a freighter passin to federation space. The firts stop of the freighter was DS9, were Delkar first encountered federation officers, and viewed how they act and interact. At this point, Delkar became sure that he wanted to be a starfleet officer. Delkar stuck with this freighter all the way to its final destination... earth. Delkar had trouble here, as he stuck out for being Cardassian. Delkar worked out of this stereotype well though, as he quickly applied to the academy in San Francisco, and became well liked among his piers.  Delkar was not the brightest cadet, or the quickest, but he worked harder then any, which earned the respect of his teachers and all his piers. Because of his work ethic Delkar passed through the academy with flying colors, and earned his first job as an engineering ensign aboard the USS Destiny a Nova class ship.
Delkar did well in his job and eventually worked himself up to transporter chief aboard the Destiny. At age twenty four though, Delkar started think harder about his career as an engineer, and decided that although he loves it, he wanted to have more purpose in Starfleet, and he went back to the academy for training in command. Now Delkar is done with his command training and has majors in both that and engineering. Delkar is ready for a new cruise with a new position, after his completion of his second stay in San Francisco
