Biography:
Childhood:  Born on Risa to two humans, his father was the Federation Ambassador to Risa, and led a highly sheltered life growing up, and went into Starfleet Academy, as was expected of him by his father.
Academy:  Lucius entered into the academy, and excelled, immediately becoming interested in both demolitions and computer systems.  His third year in the academy he applied and was accepted for an internship as a marine at federation outpost November-7. (a space station in the federation-cardassian demilitarized zone manned by both federation and cardassian marine squads to combat the Maquis and other rebel groups that work to break the peace)  He was quickly accepted into the group, and learned several valuble lessons.  He quickly became a skilled marksman, and with the help of a cardassian officer, he learned to fly fighters well enough to become a certified fighter pilot.  He joined the Fighter squadron for a mission to combat a Maquis group smuggling weapons into the DZ.  On that mission, he tasted his first real combat, as the battle waged first in space in his fighter, and finally on the ground in his capacity as a marine as the Maquis attempted to defend their fallback point.  During the fighting, a maquis officer hit his equiptment back, which, luckily, he didn't have on, and he was wounded from the explosion of his demolitions.  He was transported out and saved through a artificial heart transplant.  Optical implants were also used to combat blindness caused by the mutilation of his eyes by the fire after the explosion.  A small additional power pack was inserted into his back to insure power to both devices, but was ultimately deemed unneccesary.  He returned to the academy to finish his third year, but was unable to contain his lust for adventure, and dropped out of the academy to join the enlisted corps.  His artificial heart disqulified him as a marine or intellegence operative, and he was assigned as an Engineer's Mate aboard the USS Junart.
Previous Service:  He quickly showed that he had talent, but that he was bored in the post, wanting a more adventuresome post.  He spent a brief time filling in as the computer core specialist following the retirement of the previously posted officer.  For exemplary service, he was offered a commision under the Elextra Provision for retaining cruicial enlisted personel, but turned it down in favor of a posting as the deputy security officer on Riza, where he saw his father for the first time in 4 years.  He became something of the personal bodyguard to his father, but he found this duty distasteful, and transferred to become an assistant security officer aboard the USS Thomas Aquinas.  He served as a computer expert or a security officer aboard several other vessels, before being assigned to the USS Saturn.
